I had a big 80’s party at home yesterday. From Tom Selleck and the Rubic’s Cube, Madonna and Ghostbusters – everybodies outfits were hilarious!
As the food in the 80’s was not particularly special I decide to go for some salty muffins and spicy empanadas. ( Although I have to say that the mud punch, made with vanilla ice, champagne and vodka was very 80’s – and the headache I have today as well:)
Here’s some pictures of the spicy meat empanadas – I adapted the recipe from the wonderful “Bread-and-Honey” Blog, added some cornmeal to the dough and made the filling with minced meat, onions, chili and fresh coriander. Can’t wait to do the next theme party – maybe a prom party would be fun… Any suggestions?
